Klaus Peter describes this as a cool vintage with rainy days in the autumn. Particular care was needed with the selection of healthy fruit. Quite vegetal on the nose, with just a hint of quince. Menthol fresh and with racy acidity, crisp green fruit, cool, taut, plenty of extract. This may be a little austere for some but very authentic Riesling for others. (MS)

Pungent and concentrated nose. Smoky and tense with a lovely spread of just-not-oily warmer climate Riesling notes. Clearly very ripe but with excellent acidity. You could enjoy this already. I'd fall on it in a bar or bistro… A pretty big wine. Good corsetry. (JR)
Subtle grapefruit aroma, stony restraint with delicately smoky citrus note behind that. Smells appetisingly sour. Dry, tense, long, with that pithy dry finish. Restrained but still very satisfying and persistent. GV (JH)
