Deeply spicy, darker fruits and earthy notes are matched with a handy, sappy thread. Lots of aromatic layers here. The palate\'s unashamedly built on clay-driven tannins. Reliably shaped and building through to the finish. All darker cherries here. Drink now to 2020+.

Pale ruby colored with a hint of purple, the 2014 Moutere Pinot Noir offers delicate cranberry, pomegranate and underbrush notes with a waft of dried herbs. Medium-bodied and elegantly fruited in the mouth, the red berry and earthy flavors are complimented by a fine-grained tannin frame and just enough freshness, finishing long.
Pale ruby. Definitely earthier nose than all the Marlborough wines I have been tasting. Very juicy yet with lots of grainy tannins and depth. Serious wine. (JR)
