Note di degustazione
Sourced in Weiler, Nussbaum and Monzingen, the 2016 Nahe Riesling Trocken displays a clear, fresh and aromatic bouquet with ripe, seed fruit aromas. Pure, piquant and fresh on the palate, this is a medium-bodied, round and juicy Riesling with a good, intense finish. Quite powerful.

This wine’s sunny brightness and infectious juiciness are based on tart-edged fresh apple and zesty lemon seemingly infused with crushed stone (a mineral dimension already noticeable on the nose). Mineral salts set the salivary glands pumping on a buoyant, energetic, ultra-refreshing finish. Dissolved CO2 enhances the invigorating effects of this irresistibly delightful tonic.
An estate Riesling is a bread-and-butter wine and as such needs to appeal to a wider audience. With its white fruit, animating acidity and soft expression Emrich-Schönleber’s dry Riesling does just that. (MS)
