2013 Herman Story Syrah White Hawk Vineyard

Dark purple. Heady aromas of ripe blueberry, dark chocolate, olive and candied flowers, given urgency by a peppery nuance. Densely packed but energetic, offering palate-staining black and blue fruit, floral pastille and spicecake flavors that expand with air. Closes with alluring sweetness, a hint of smokiness and velvety tannins that fold slowly into the plush, sappy dark fruit.
