2015 Herman Story Syrah White Hawk Vineyard

Incorporating a splash of Viognier, the 2015 Syrah White Hawk comes from a site near Los Alamos and was brought up in 90% new French oak. Manfred Krankl pulled plenty of fruit from this site in the early days, and this 2015 boasts an awesome nose of smoked meats, crushed rose petals, lavender, dried citrus and blackberries. With full body, a gamy, complex, layered personality, silky tannins, and a great finish, it’s my favorite of the single vineyard releases from Russell From.
