A blend of 50% each of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay aged 38 months in bottle, the NV Perpetual Reserve N.V. 02 offers a brighter, vivid nose of crushed citrus and stone fruits intermixed with honeyed brioche and crushed almonds, along with a vibrant minty character that emerges with air. It's bright, racy, and vivid on the palate, with medium-bodied richness, bright acidity, and an ultra-fine mousse. This brilliantly balanced, layered sparkler has a great finish and is a riveting wine from this team. There are roughly 100 cases produced. Drink 2025-2030.
A wine of real dimension and texture, the NV.02 Perpetual Reserve is positively stellar. Pear, chamomile, dried lemon peel and marzipan are beautifully laced together. More than anything else, the Perpetual Reserve impresses with its balance. Dosage is 6 grams per liter, which feels a bit on the high side.
