The 2020 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru La Richemone mingles aromas of dark berries and cassis with hints of baking chocolate, rich spices, orange rind, mint and burning embers. Full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with a deep core of fruit, racy acids and a long, penetrating finish, it's immensely intense.

100% whole clusters. Cask sample. Perfume! Very refined, with a smokiness and floral lightness, belying what is clearly a powerful and complex wine. There are flowers, and there is iron. Great balance and all led on by ripping, juicy acidity. (MH)
The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges La Richemone 1er Cru offers ripe black cherries, blueberry and violet scents on the nose, the most floral of Mugneret’s ‘20 that I hope is captured in bottle. The palate is beautifully balanced with fine-boned structure, tensile and persistent with a touch of sour cherry lending tension on the finish. Outstanding. I can see why this was poured after the Echezeaux.
