(14.9% alcohol): Bright, saturated medium ruby. Sexy, complex perfume of blackberry, licorice, exotic herbs, earth and animal fur. Densely packed, vibrant and savory; large-scaled but smooth, offering a compelling combination of dark fruit and sauvage animal qualities. Finishes broad, powerful and very long, with chewy tannins in need of several more years of bottle aging.

Very dark purple. Funkissimo on the nose (see my article about Sean ). Very lively and teeming with life with hints of leather, liquorice and elderberries. Rewarding. Not cheap. You need to find a friend to share the two-bottle purchase with. Round and layered. The evolution of this should be fascinating. Very dry finish. (JR)
