2015 Chambertin

100% Croatina. Insanely heavy bottle. Lustrous mid ruby. Interesting chalky red- and dark-fruit nose with hints of iron. A palate that is lush and succulent at the same time and with rustic, ripe tannins. Iron and sour cherry on the finish. the 15% alcohol almost goes unnoticed. The beginning of development is indicated by tobacco-leaf notes. Could have been released earlier, but this has plenty of interest. (WS)
