The 2024 Riesling is exactly the same as the Riesling trocken, just with stopped fermentation. A citrus-framed touch of peach shines on the nose and carries right onto the palate. This is lightness, verve, ease and joy all wrapped into stoniness. Wonderful. (Off-dry)

Just bottled with 10% stated alcohol, the off-dry 2024 Riesling VDP.Gutswein opens with an irresistible bright and aromatic as well as flinty/mineral nose with notes of crushed rocks and ripe yellow stone fruits (plums, apricots). Round, lush and lively on the palate due to the carbon dioxide fermentation byproduct, this is a pleasant, mood-lifting Nahe Riesling with remarkable lightness and finesse and super charming, textural fruit. This elegantly crafted, wonderfully pure and savory Riesling soars across the palate with loads of flower-laden minerals. It's a gorgeous aperitif and quaffable wine at any time of the day. Tasted in April 2025.
