Home farm of the owners of Ch Lafleur. Mid sweetness. But it doesn't taste as though it is trying too hard. A bit lighter and less tense than most. (JR)
A sleeper of the vintage, this wine from the Guinaudeau family (the proprietors of Lafleur) may well be the best I have tasted from them. A blend of 75% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, the wine is more opulent and concentrated than previous vintages. With powerful kirsch and black raspberry fruit notes intermixed with hints of underbrush and licorice, this beauty should drink nicely for 5-6 years.

The Société Civile du Ch. Lafleur is the collective name for the Guinaudeau family’s wines and estates. These are some of the Right Bank’s most famous wines, including Ch. Lafleur and Les Pensées in Pomerol, along with Les Perrières, Les Champs Libres and Ch. Grand Village in Fronsac.
