2022 Domaine Georges Roumier Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru

The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses is floral and ethereal, bursting with aromas of rose petals, Indian spices, peonies, blood orange and sweet red berries. Medium to full-bodied, pure and perfumed, with a succulent core of fruit, melting tannins and a saline finish, it was hard to spit.

0.4 ha (1 acre). Cask sample. Mid ruby. Ripe raspberry and red cherry on the nose, but a little muted. On the palate too, closed, but not closed down by its very fine tannic structure. Just muted. Fine elegant, powdery tannins, but the whole is very nascent. Come back again another day. (MH)
