Note di degustazione
The 1993 Musigny Grand Cru is a striking wine, even when served alongside lofty competition. Soaring from the glass with notes of rose petals, peonies, blood orange and sweet red berries, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a cool core of fruit, melted tannins and an unerring sense of balance. The long, fragrant finish is almost interminable. This stands out as one of the greatest wines produced in Domaine Leroy's initial phase.

Bottle 0271. Just what red burgundy should be: rich, round (not a trace of tannin) and gorgeous but with sufficient spine to keep it upright and intriguing rather than just sweet. The dominant aroma among many for me was violets. Then the most fabulous peacock's tail on the finish. This is a fully mature wine whose delicacy verges on frailty, but that's great Musigny for you. Exceptionally long. Great wine. (JR)
