Note di degustazione
A gorgeous ruby with violet hues, the 2021 Grenache La Patience Vineyard wafts up from the glass with a bouquet of dusty rose, stone dust and lavender pastille complementing dried strawberries. This is seductively round with cooling acidity and vividly ripe wild berry fruits, taking on tones of sour citrus toward the close. This finishes remarkably fresh yet structured, leaving crunchy tannins and a classically dry sensation as hints of licorice slowly fade.

Awesome aromatics of kirsch, wild strawberries, game, dried mushrooms, and rose petals all emerge from the 2021 Grenache La Paciencia Vineyard, a medium-bodied Grenache with a lively, elegant mouthfeel, beautiful balance, and outstanding length. It's never the biggest or richest expression of the variety but shines for its incredible complexity and finesse. Drink this any time over the coming decade.
Opening to a slightly minty and herbal nose, the 2021 Grenache la Paciencia Vineyard presents dusty potpourri notes, wilted lavender, hints of black raspberry and spiced plum aromas. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals a soft prickle from recessed gas, so I recommend decanting in the first five years of its life. With further aeration, the wine reveals additional layers of complexity with earthy, tertiary notes beneath the dusty red fruit expression. Culminating in a delightfully food-friendly finish, this Grenache is poised to age gracefully until its 15th birthday. The wine aged 21 months in neutral French demi-muids and foudre. Only 4,140 bottles were produced.
