2009 Tyrrell's - Semillon Vat 1

The 2009 Vat 1 Semillon was opened at dinner last night. It struck me that it was creamy and weightless, nutty and super fine. Today, in the context of the vintages on show here (2023, 2017, 2013, 2009, 2005 and 1998), it looks like the other 2009s on the table: rich, toasty, voluptuous, compact and contained. I loved it last night in a social setting, and I admire it here today in a critical one. The color is indistinguishable from the 2023. 11% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
