The 1985 is just beginning to enter its plateau of maturity. The wine possesses a deep ruby color with noticeable lightening at the edge. A sweet nose of jammy fruit, herbs, smoke, and pain grille is followed by an open-knit, plump, accessible wine with moderate weight, good richness, and a sweet finish with light tannin remaining.
