Note di degustazione
The 2017 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a clean and fresh bouquet with dew dappled green apples, William’s pear and subtle orange blossom aromas. This has plenty of character and intensity. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, taut and fresh, good weight in the mouth with quite a persistent finish. I would just like more mineralité to develop, especially on the final third.

Super nose with stony notes and fine, flinty, reductive nuances that carry an exceptional, intense and fresh array of lime, lemon and young-nectarine aromas. This leads to a palate that carries a very assertive and powerfully hewn core of stones and citrus fruit. Really mineral build on the finish. Try from 2022.
The 2017 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières is one of the high points of the range, unfurling in the glass with notions of waxy lemon rind, dried white flower, almond paste and wet stones. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, tangy and incisive, with attractive purity and structural tension, concluding with a long, mineral finish.
Tank sample; almost 30% new oak. Very ripe lemon and almost-ripe apricot on the nose. The oak is well hidden and there is just a slight smoky reduction at the moment. More noticeable on the palate. Cedary and savoury on the palate, at the same time rich and full-bodied as well as crisp and clean-cut on the finish. Full of flavour but not in any way heavy. Cleanly balanced to a long finish. Spicy aftertaste, creamy too. (JH)
