The 2019 OV SL is an outrageously beautiful wine. Over the last few months, the 2019 has gained in breadth and dimension. Inky and deep, with tremendous richness and tons of finesse, the 2019 simply dazzles from start to finish. Bright red cherry jam, blood orange, spice, mint and rose petal all build into the opulent finish. Impressive.

Usually a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot (I wasn’t given the final blend), the 2019 OV|SL offers a deep ruby/purple hue as well as a complex bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, lavender, flowers, Asian spices, and incense. Incredibly complex, it's another pure, classy, medium to full-bodied wine with terrific tannins, spot-on balance, a wonderful sense of freshness, and a savory, rocky mineral-like character on the finish. It's going to evolve for 20 years with no issues.
