Still a little shy and youthfully mute at this early stage, not least of all because this wine is exclusively available in magnum, the 2015 Chardonnay Laguna Ridge Vineyard sashays out of the glass with beguiling notes of peach blossoms, lemon curd, mandarin peel and coriander seed with a core of pink grapefruit, almond croissant and lime leaves plus a waft of chalk dust. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is all class, featuring a wonderfully satiny texture and seamless freshness to support the delicate citrus, stone fruit and floral layers, finishing very long and savory.

An addition to the range, the 2015 Chardonnay Laguna Ridge was bottled only in magnum. The 2015 is wonderfully translucent, with striking layers of nuance and flavor buttressed by a backbone of salinity. One of the more focused, vibrant wines in this range, the Laguna Ridge is also one of the few wines in this range I would be tempted to cellar for a few years. Part of that is the magnum only format of course. Hints of smoke, dried pear and graphite add the closing shades of complexity in this deeply expressive Chardonnay.
An addition to the range, the 2015 Chardonnay Laguna Ridge is also one of the most subtle wines in the range. In most of these wines, something stands out. In the Laguna Ridge, nothing stands out. A hushed, understated Chardonnay, the Laguna Ridge is likely to only reveal itself with time. Today, it is the wine's total finesse and understatement that is most impressive. Because of the minuscule yields, the entire production consists of 200 cases of magnums. Laguna Ridge has long been one of the fruit sources in the Noisetiers Chardonnay.
Informazioni sul produttore

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
