Note di degustazione
Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard opens with Bing cherry, spiced cranberry, pomegranate and sliced blueberries, with an intriguing background of floral perfume—lots of layers here. It's light to medium-bodied with good fruit intensity, firm, grainy tannins and juicy acidity, finishing long and layered. Yum! 181 cases produced.

From the southern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands, the 2016 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard saw one-fourth stems and 15 months in 50% new French oak. It's always a richer wine and the 2016 is no exception, offering notes of black raspberries, crushed rocks, vanilla bean, and spice. Deep, pure and powerful, yet still with a beautiful sense of elegance, drink it any time over the coming 10-12 years.
Deep ruby. Intensely perfumed raspberry liqueur, cola, exotic spice and potpourri aromas, plus a hint of smoky minerality that builds as the wine opens up. Densely packed and appealingly sweet, showing impressive depth and delineation to the sappy red berry preserve, spicecake, cola and floral pastille flavors. Gains power with air while maintaining energy. Smooth tannins build steadily, harmonizing with the vibrant fruit on an extremely long, floral-accented finish.
