Note di degustazione
Full red. Sexy, high-pitched aromas of pungent strawberry, raspberry, rose petal, pepper and spices. Fresh and nicely delineated, offering a silky texture and lovely juicy intensity and concentration. By far the freshest of the three 2008 pinots from this producer, but not a particularly fleshy style. Finishes with dusty, spicy tannins and lingering pepper and spice notes. (The 2008 Barda showed a reasonably supple palate impression and some candied complexity to its red fruit, pepper and chocolate flavors, but betrayed a slightly oxidative character as it opened in the glass.)

30% new oak. Name shows age of planting. Whole bunches. Fruit is a little darker, definitely more concentrated, than the Barda. Much fuller in the mouth. Elegant, dry and no unwanted sweetness. (JH)
Very rich, warm Pinot aromas. Sweet start and then notable bracken flavours and lots of acidity. Not sweet and mellifluous – a rather untamed version of Pinot, but certainly not too sweet or confected. Dry finish. Earthy and astringent. (JR)
