Note di degustazione
The 2016 Pinot Noir Camp Meeting Ridge is also smoking good. Coming from a site on the Sonoma Coast and aged 15 months in 25% new French oak, it has classic notes of kirsch, blackberries, toasted spice, forest floor, and leafy herbs. Beautifully textured, medium to full-bodied, texture yet also fresh and vibrant, it’s going to evolve for upwards of a decade.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Camp Meeting Ridge is promising, but it is also very closed today, especially in its aromatics. There is good energy, but this is an especially austere, at times, rigid Pinot, even within the context of the Sonoma Coast.

The pale ruby-purple colored 2016 Pinot Noir Camp Meeting Ridge features the most gorgeous nose of wilted roses, violets and chocolate box with a core of redcurrants, red and black cherries and warm raspberries with touches of forest floor, fungi and oolong tea. Medium-bodied, the palate has a beautiful frame of exquisitely fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness delivering layers of red berry and earthy notions, finishing long and fragrant.
