Note di degustazione
(68% merlot, 16% petit verdot, 12% cabernet sauvignon and 4% cabernet franc) Bright red-ruby. Roasted raspberry and menthol aromas suggest a slightly overripe/underripe quality. Supple and sweet but with modest nuance to the flavors of cassis, plum, spices and menthol. The tannins arrive early, shortening the wine's fruit.

The 2006 The Tempest (a blend of 68% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc) exhibits deep, chocolate, black cherry and black currant aromas with hints of mocha, coffee bean, and spicy oak in the background. Dense and full-bodied with fat, fleshy flavors, decent acidity, and a heavy finish, it can be enjoyed over the next 7-8 years. Production for these cuvees ranges from a low of 160 cases to a high of 400 cases. Tel. (707) 967-0226; Fax (707) 967-0227
Medium ruby-red. Musky aromas of redcurrant, smoked meat and red licorice. Fleshy, fat and expressive, with sweet flavors of redcurrant and smoke. Less structured and more open-knit than the 2006 Bard, finishing with more obvious, somewhat rougher tannins.
