The 2005 de Fieuzal Blanc has actually held up better than the red. It is fully mature, to be sure, yet has enough intrigue to drink well for another year or two, although I would not push my luck much more beyond that. Candied apricot, tangerine oil, hazelnut, dried herbs and chamomile all open in the glass. Readers who enjoy fully mature whites will find much to like in the 2005.
