Punteggio 97/100 · Da bere 2023-2038, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2025

The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate never ceases to impress. Bold and explosive in the glass, it offers up a heady mix of dark fruit infused with espresso, menthol, sage, incense, tobacco and pine. I admire its mix of ripe fruit and supporting structure. At nearly 30 years of age, the 1995 is in a great spot where it offers tons of complexity and yet is still so vital.

Togni's 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is simply dazzling. Deep, unctuous and explosive, this Cabernet Sauvignon screams with the essence of exotic spices, iron, graphite, leather, smoke, game and dark fruit. The 1995 gets better and better with time in the glass, revealing myriad shades of dimension and extraordinary balance. Although stunning today, the 1995 has at least another decade ahead of it. The 1995 was made from the original vines that were ten years old at the time.

Philip Togni's 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon came across as big, powerful and brooding. Blackberries, asphalt and sweet herbs lingered on the finish. The 1995 is an epic, towering Cabernet from Philip Togni. I hope to taste it again when it is closer to peaking. What a great wine.
