Note di degustazione
Dark, mature-looking ruby with a narrow bricky rim. Lots of oak and tobacco leaf on the nose and slightly oxidative. Hints of tar. Still quite powerful on the palate and more complex than the nose would have it, but seems to have almost reached its top. (WS)

Mid to deep ruby with orange on the rim. Sweet spice and a hint of Moroccan leather and posh dry oak and a little leathery. Quite concentrated and perhaps a little broad on the palate after having tasted the 2008. Quite big tannins but backed up by sweet fruit. Not enormously complex but very long. Could be a little fresher. (WS)
Moderately saturated medium red. Aromas of dark cherry, Indian spices, cocoa powder and licorice. Sweet, plush and seamless, with surprisingly open-knit flavors of cherry, plum and spices. This wonderfully lush, silky Brunello finishes smooth, sweet and very long, with noble tannins and very good lift.
The 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Rennina flows across the palate with layers of sensual, perfumed fruit. Soft, gracious and impeccably balanced, the 2007 Rennina impresses for its overall harmony and sense of grace. Sweet red berries, crushed flowers and spices wrap around the feminine finish. This is a very pretty not to mention hugely appealing wine from Pieve Santa Restituta.
