Note di degustazione
Light nose. Just a little simple and one-dimensional at the moment, with some drying on the end. Just a tad pinched. But there’s a mass of concentrated fruit there. Hints of Syrah rather than Shiraz. (JR)

90% Shiraz, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Kalimna, Magill, McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Coonawarra. 18 months in new American hogsheads. TA 5.2 g/l, pH 3.3. Tremendous beetroot, blackcurrant, chocolate, forest, mushroom. Exotic spices, leathery, dusty maturity. Impeccable. (RH)
90% Shiraz, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Kalimna Vineyard (Barossa Valley), Barossa Valley, Magill Estate (Adelaide) McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Coonawarra blend. Relatively pale. Sweet, discreet. Lively. Very gorgeous and round with quite a bit of tannin still. Long and flattering. Admirably complete. (JR)
Production: 6,450 cases Blend: 90% Shiraz/10% Cabernet Sauvignon Another blockbuster Grange, this opaque garnet-colored wine is the first Grange to exhibit obvious spicy new oak in its aromatics. Full-bodied, with layers of highly-extracted, overripe fruit, this muscular, thick wine is almost too rich. Although large-scaled, its low acidity and voluptuous texture make it accessible and impressive in an uncomplicated manner. Look for it to develop further complexity with another 5-6 years of cellaring. Note: The production figures shown are for twelve bottle cases unless otherwise noted.
