The 2014 Sancerre les Romains is very clear and elegant on the nose, displaying black currant, citrus and elderflower aromas along with a hint of white peach and a lot of spicy/herbal notes. Dense and concentrated in the mouth, this is a stunningly rich and powerful, yet very well-structured and complex Sancerre; it has a mouth-filling texture and a long, intense finish with stimulating minerals and super grip. This is a great and persistent, rich but also pure and refreshing Sancerre that is one of the best I have tasted this year. Great potential.

Certified biodynamic, Domaine Vacheron is one of the star names in Sancerre. The estate crafts Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from single sites, using low yields and Burgundy-inspired winemaking to produce exceptionally pure, age-worthy expressions of the region that are some of its best.
