From estate fruit in the Moon Mountain AVA and brought up in new and used French oak, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (there’s 7% Petit Verdot) gives up a deep ruby/plum color as well as a beautiful perfume of cassis, sandalwood, menthol, and lead pencil shavings. This medium-bodied, seamlessly textured, balanced Sonoma Cabernet has bright acidity, moderate depth yet terrific balance, and a clean, classy finish. It's going to continue drinking nicely for a solid 15-20 years.
