Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2019-2034, Jeb Dunnuck, Jan 2019

Moving to the two 2015s, the 2015 The Maiden is a rock star that’s better than most estate top wines. Giving up a full-bodied, sexy, beautifully layered style as well as tons of sweet cassis and blackberry fruit, it has ripe tannins, no hard edges, fruit galore, and a great finish. It’s smoking good today yet will keep for 15+ years.

Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2018-2030, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2018

The 2015 The Maiden is a gorgeous wine. Ample and generous on the palate, the 2015 offers lovely textured depth and richness. Sweet red cherry, plum, blood orange, mint and floral notes are all woven together. The incisive tannins of the year are evident, but there is more than enough pliancy to the fruit to keep things in check. Perhaps even more importantly, the 2015 has terrific freshness for the year. This is a strong showing, especially in light of the very challenging conditions.

Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2019-2036, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, Oct 2018

There were very small yields in this vintage—about 50% of normal production. The 2015 The Maiden (bottled in early 2018) is deep garnet-purple colored with lovely notes of warm redcurrants, black raspberries and wild blueberries with touches of rose hip tea, tobacco, spice box and fragrant earth. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated with lovely grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and earthy.
