2018 Fabre & Montmayou Fabre Gran Vin

The 2018 Grand Vin is a blend of Malbec with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot from Vistalba, Luján de Cuyo and was aged for 16 months in foudres . An intense purple in the glass, the aromas feature candied plum with white pepper, hints of blackberry and notes from the aging process as well as subtle whiffs of fruit. Concentrated in the mouth, it offers good body while the freshness is wrapped in the palate where the tannins provide depth and structure. Time in the bottle will enhance the freshness and subtlety.
