2019 Emmerich Knoll Grüner Veltliner Ried Lobiner Loibenberg Smaragd

Predominantly from loess soils, the 2019 Ried Loibenberg Loibner Grüner Veltliner Smaragd is very stony and lemony on the distinctive nose of crushed stones and lemon zest. Round, dense and intense on the palate, this is a rich and powerful but elegant, finessed and persistently salty Loibenberg with remarkable freshness. Really powerful this year yet not alcoholic at all. Tasted at the domaine in June 2021.
