2021 Franz Hirtzberger Riesling Singerriedel Smaragd

The white-gold 2021 Ried Singerriedel Riesling Smaragd opens with a clear, bright, spicy and concentrated, highly ripe nose with delicate honey notes. Juicy, refined and elegant on the palate, this is a powerful, rich and persistent Singerriedel with plenty of substance and potential. Still, the 2021 doesn't (yet?) grab me the way this wine usually does, despite obligatory opulence. Tasted at Schloss Dürnstein, Wachau, in September 2022.
