The 2017 Pinot Noir Mays Canyon is a gorgeous, captivating wine with exotic aromatic presence and striking layers of complexity. Dark cherry, lavender, spice, truffle and mint soar out of the glass. Medium in body, complex and alluring, the 2017 has so much to offer.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Mays Canyon, grown in gravelly loam, has a pale to medium ruby color and scents of fresh violets, crushed black cherries, citrus peel, oolong tea, autumn leaves and warm earth with rhubarb and raspberry preserves accents. It's light to medium-bodied with a core of amaro-accented fruits, a tight frame and juicy freshness, finishing long.
The 2017 Pinot Noir Mays Canyon is a beautifully focused, translucent wine. Dark cherry, plum, rose petal, spice and graphite are very nicely delineated throughout. I very much like the tension and freshness. In 2017 those qualities go a long way in balancing the natural intensity of the vintage. The whole clusters (34%) add lift without being overly dominant.
