Punteggio 84/100 · Da bere 1987, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
The 1966 is a good, reliable wine that, in view of the vintage, could perhaps have been better. A moderately intense, spicy, fruity bouquet that exhibits plenty of oak is seductive enough. However, the palate impression is that austerity dominates the fruit. Fully mature, but capable of holding, this is a good, but hardly top-rank 1966. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 2/87.
