1996 Domaine le Peu de la Moriette - Vouvray Moelleux

This terrific Vouvray is a veritable fruit cocktail. The fact that it can be purchased for $10 is remarkable. Candied citrus, honey, and ripe fruits (including grapefruit and peaches) soar from the glass. With excellent to outstanding concentration, vibrant, refreshing, buttressing acidity, and an exceptionally long finish, this wine may merit an outstanding rating after further bottle age. Moreover, it will evolve beautifully for 5-7 years, although I do not know how anyone will be able to resist its current charms. This is a dazzling wine value.
