Note di degustazione
Flowers, black cherries, and spices can be found in the aromatic profile of the 2002 Echezeaux. The liveliest of Le Moine’s 2002s, this wine could pass for a 1996 in some blind tastings. Tightly wound, focused, and vibrant, its fruit will need to expand to envelope its high-toned yet impressively concentrated character. Its detailed flavors are composed of red currants, violets and crisp cherries. Projected maturity: 2008-2018? Importers include: Vintus, Manhasset, NY; tel. Deep ruby-red. Superripe aromas of redcurrant and iron. Sweet and powerful on entry, then disjointed in the middle palate, with the wine's sugars and acids clashing and the tannins coming across as slightly dry. Noticeably minty in the mouth. But this concentrated, large-scaled wine offers considerable potential.
