Note di degustazione
Good full ruby. Aromatic nose combines maraschino cherry, blackberry and licorice. Suaver and more delineated than the Turley Estate and Rattlesnake Ridge petite sirah bottlings, even if this is the highest of the three in alcohol, at 15.5%. Peppery black fruits are high-toned and very concentrated, and nicely lifted by a floral complexity. Finishes with big, rich tannins.

The Petite Syrah reveals a black/purple color as well as notes of graphite, smoke, blackberries, blueberries, creme de cassis, a liqueur of mineral-like intensity, and huge tannin and concentration. A meaty effort, tasting almost like a liqueur of bloody steak is the 2004 Petite Syrah Library Vineyard. This is a prodigious wine that should be purchased only by those with cold cellars and good DNA for longevity as it will all age for 40-50 years. (Release date 11/06) Tel.
