Bright copper with spice and opulence. This property is on a roll. The palate is rich, full, floral and distinctly embryonic. The finish is still slightly astringent. Leave this one alone for the moment but it should be gorgeous eventually. (JR)

1997: The gorgeously perfumed and layered 1997 La Tour-Blanche displays a medium golden color, as well as a honeyed, kinky nose of buttered roasted fruit, quince, oranges, and minerals. Pale straw-gold. Deep aromas of peach, apricot and mint. Sweet but fresh, with lively acidity keeping the ripe citrus and honey flavors flesh. The wine viscosity and tropical fruit aspect build with aeration. Really chewy impression of extract extends into the long, tactile finish.
