Note di degustazione
Honey, pale amber colour. Tense and lively and concentrated. A bit more mainstream than the 2005. Focused – how will it age? Much less blowsy than the 2005. Still youthful . Lots of fun but all potential. (JR)

The 2012 Palladius is the usual blend Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Clairette Blanche, Viognier, Verdelho, Roussanne, Semillon Gris, Semillon Blanc and Palomino. It has a lovely nose of white flower, melted butter, lanolin and honeysuckle all beautifully defined. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth lightly honeyed fruit, pitch perfect acidity and a caressing but complex waxy finish. Killer South African white wine.
Broad, nutty and very slightly pongy. Not at all heavy – you’d be hard put to guess the acidity. Some creamy greenness and really etched structure. Serious wine with a future. (JR)
Informazioni sul produttore

Since he started making wine under his own name in 2000, Eben Sadie became a cult name in South Africa. The Swartland producer is best known for his flagship Columella and Palladius, but he also makes a range of whites and reds under the Old Vine Series, which became the District Series in 2025.
