The 2014 Sigalas Rabaud has a similar bouquet to the bottle tasted six years earlier: elegant and lighter in style, pure honey and quince though less of the flinty note this time. The palate is very well-balanced with marmalade and honey, spicier than the 2013 with far more complexity and outstanding purity on the finish. It's absolutely delicious to drink now. Tasted from a bottle sent directly from Sigalas Rabaud to the UK.

Pale lemon in color, the 2014 Sigalas has a wonderfully exotic, tropical fruit scented nose with nuances of honeycomb, fresh ginger, allspice and a touch of lime blossoms. The rich, boldly fruited palate has a zippy line of freshness lifting layer upon layer of pineapple and guava inspired flavors, finishing on a long lingering spicy note.
The 2014 Sigalas Rabaud has a detailed bouquet with pure honey, flint and quince aromas, precise and very well focused. The palate is well balanced with a fresh entry, crisp acidity, notes of tangerine and marmalade furnishing the vibrant and spicy finish. Every now and again this property pulls a great Sauternes out of the bag. The 2014 is one of them. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
RS 123 g/l. Tasted blind. Light, simple, slightly sugary on the palate. Then a real presence on the end. (JR)
