Haag's 2019 Graacher Himmelreich Riesling GG is very clear, fresh and flinty on the pure, precise and stony nose that shows coolish but concentrated white fruit intermixed with notes of gray slate. Silky, lush, persistently salty and piquant, this is an impressive, perfectly balanced Himmelreich with lush, refined and elegant fruit and a spectacular long and stimulating finish. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.

AP number 29 20. High toned and aromatically 'stony'. Nervy, steely and very dry. This would be a great accompaniment to quite subtle food. Then juicy fruit follows through. Impressive. (JR)
