Although the vines have since been removed to make way for Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2022 Syrah Kenefick Ranch Vineyard Whole Cluster is a fitting testament to how well Syrah can perform in certain parts of Napa Valley. Scents of lilacs, violets and a hint of cracked pepper accent blackberry, blueberry and licorice notes. Full-bodied and intense, it finishes impressively silky and long.

From a site in Napa and fermented with 100% whole clusters, the 2022 Syrah Kenefick Ranch Vineyard 100% Whole Cluster has an opaque plum hue as well as fruit bomb-like aromatics of black raspberries, jammy blackberries, peppery herbs, orange blossom, and incense. Ripe, full-bodied, broad, upfront, and front end-loaded, this beauty has solid mid-palate depth, velvety tannins, and a heady finish, all making for a sexy, pleasure-bent Syrah to drink over the coming 5-7 years.
