2012 Rust en Vrede - Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2012 Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, which sees 18 months in French oak, has quite a reserved tobacco-tinged bouquet that unfurls nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp and quite edgy tannins, plenty of spicy, tangy black fruit and a slash of shaved ginger on the finish. Give this a year in bottle.
