Note di degustazione
Vivid ruby-red. A complex, sharply focused bouquet evokes fresh raspberry, boysenberry and Asian spices, along with a sexy floral nuance that gains strength with aeration. Sweet, seamless and incisive on the palate, displaying a deft blend of heft and focus to the concentrated red and blue fruit, floral pastille and spicecake flavors. Shows noteworthy energy on a subtly tannic, penetrating finish that hangs on with superb, floral-driven tenacity. For this vintage, the fruit for this bottling came entirely from the Maresh vineyard.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Old Vines comes from Wadenswil clone vines planted in 1970, and it was matured in barrel for 20 months. Medium garnet, it has a distinct mineral character, with tones of flint and iodine complementing spicy cranberry and blackberry preserves. The palate is silky and layered, with intense, dark red fruit and a very long, flavorful finish. It's got some inherent power that will allow it to develop well in bottle.
