2022 McPrice Myers Altas Vinas

Fermented with 40% whole clusters and aged in 35% new French oak, the 2022 Altas Viñas combines 72% Mourvèdre, 18% Syrah and 10% Grenache. The nose is dark-fruited, leathery and powerful yet remains composed, showing lifted, herbal aromas of bramble and dried herbs. The palate is a beautiful combination of suave precision and juicy refreshment, leading to a sturdy, iron-tinged finish of ripe fruits balanced with a pleasant tannic framing. This is a wonderfully earthy, plush, pretty medley that should evolve nicely into the next decade.
