Note di degustazione
The classic wine from this estate is always a good buy, and the 2007 Gigondas, now at age 14, is showing beautifully. Kirsch, ripe strawberries, sappy flowers, and peppery garrigue notes all emerge from this beauty, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a seamless texture, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. A rich, sexy, fruit-bomb of a Gigondas, it still shows ample elegance and purity.

Silky and polished, with gorgeously pure tannin and a medium to full-bodied profile, this elegant 2007 Gigondas offers lots of raspberries, wild strawberry, spice and dried flower-like aromas and flavors. It's still youthful and will keep through 2027.
Mainly Grenache with about 20% Syrah, and about 10% Mourvèdre and Cinsaut. Dark bloody red. Pure plum on the nose, very alluring. A very sweet start, but quickly picked up by nippy dancing spice. Deep black fruit and thick touch-me tannins. Warm but not heavy. Well balanced. (TC)
Much meatier than the ’06, the 2007 Domaine des Bosquets Gigondas, a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, and the rest assorted varieties, delivers roasted herbs, black olives, minerals, and licorice notes that are wrapped around a dense core of dark Grenache fruit. Medium to full bodied with loads of texture, ripe, concentrated fruit, admirable balance and long finish; this should drink well over the following 8 to 10 years.
