Bright medium red. A bit darker in character on the nose than the Rue de Vergy, offering expressive aromas of black cherry, dark raspberry, mocha, leather and rose petal complicated by sexy earth tones. Plush and ripe if a bit reduced; darker and more backward than the Morey, showing a firmer spine of acids and tannins but avoiding hardness. Finishes with a solid tannic backbone and persistent dark cherry flavor. This village wine should last well.

The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin has an understated bouquet with pure red cherry and strawberry aromas, a touch of wilted rose petal developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, harmonious in the mouth, not the most complex village cru on the block, but I appreciate its harmony and silky texture on the finish. Enjoy this over 3-5 years after bottling.
(a blend of La Justice in the northern part of the village and Les Seuvrées in the south): Bright, dark red. Cooler aromas of raspberry, white tobacco and mint complicated by sexy smoke and meat nuances. Juicy, quite dry and subdued; a step down in texture and depth from the last couple of wines. Rather taut for a village wine, but shows attractive rose petal lift. Finishes juicy, spicy and persistent, with suave tannins.
