Note di degustazione
From vines in Prissé and Chasselas, the 2016 Saint-Véran Prélude unfurls in the glass with notes of nutmeg and Meyer lemon. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a glossy attack, good depth and concentration. There's actually a bit more volume and dimension here than in the domaine's Viré-Clessé.

(a blend of two parcels; aged in demi-muids and foudres ): Bright, light yellow. Alluring but reticent aromas of lemon, pear drop and flowers accented by a metallic quality. Very rich, pliant and deep but with the juiciness of the vintage framing and lifting its lemon, lime and spice flavors. Delivers serious breadth and mouth coverage without any undue weight, thanks to its integrated acidity and citrus piquancy. This boasts impressive concentration, even power, for a wine that's no higher than 12.5% alcohol.
