2019 Union de Vignerons de L'Ile de Beauté Prestige du President

Aged 16 months in 30% new oak, the 2019 Corse Prestige Du President is mostly Niellucciu with 30% Sciaccarellu. It has an outstanding perfume of wild strawberries, dried flowers, and a subtle chocolate, sun-baked earth-like character that carries to a medium-bodied, round, elegant red. It has some background oak, but the balance is spot on, its tannins are brilliant, and it has tons to love. It should evolve for a decade.
